GARDEN FLOWERS: THE FLOWER CHILD'S SITE

PLANNING YOUR FLOWER GARDEN
While I am by no means a gardening expert, this site is intended to assist you with planning your own flower garden. I am compiling all of my gardening and yard work sites into this one handy hub to help you pick and choose among those available. After her retirement, my mother kept our small rural Georgia lakefront property alive with color. She was not a horticulturist, nor did she have a formal education related to flower gardening, but she did have an overwhelming love of flowers, and the colors they can bring to the home.
When Mama passed, I allowed her work to be neglected, much to my regret. I have recently taken an interest in reestablishing the garden once existing here, and am doing research on a number of flowers, and flower combinations. Since I am more writer than flower expert, the most natural thing for me to do is to share my beautiful discoveries with you. I hope you will find my humble gardening endeavers helpful, and my garden pictures inspiring.
I am including a collection of hubs on various flowers, groups of pictures of each, details about the varieties of the the flowers involved, how and when to plant them, and what protection they require, if any. This site will be a work in progress, as it will take time to include even a small number of the flowers available for planting. Please pay close attention to the climate and condition requirements of each one, as some may not grow well in your region, or may need to be planted at a specific time, or brought inside during the winter. Again, I am no expert, and am still learning, but hope you will take this amazing journey with me, and enjoy the many colors and varieties involved.
In order to visit the site of any flower group, you need only to click on the link below the name of the flower. It is my hope this site will assist you with grouping flowers together, forming borders, or just knowing which combinations you would like to use in your garden. It is also my hope that Mama is looking down from heaven with a smile on her face, and gratitude that our garden is no longer being neglected.

Beautiful! What a great idea! I haven't put links to my other hubs on my hubs like that so I will do it this weekend when I have time. I also have some gardening hubs -only 3 at the moment
